Project Proposal #2 (April 2010)
Project:
This marking period, I still want to continue doing the text pieces. The only difference will be that I want to do it on the stretched canvas instead of doing it on regular canvas. I also want to do different sizes of pieces.
Materials:
The materials will include stretched canvas and paint, just like the last 3 marking periods.
Objective:
The objective is to continue doing the text pieces and doing it on a different material.
Time line:
I want to try to do one a week. This might be hard. The longest I want to work on one piece is a week and a half.
Project Proposal #1
Project:
For this marking period, I am going to continue with the text pieces from last marking period. In the beginning of the marking period I would like to retouch the pieces from the previous marking period. This will include repainting or re tracing text on the other pieces. After this is done for some of the pieces, I want to continue making the text pieces. I would like to make larger pieces this marking period. I would also like to include some of the still life in them. So, they will have a little bit of a different look to them.
Materials:
the materials will be the same from last marking period. They will include canvas, paint, and ink.
Objective:
The objective is to continue the experimenting of useage of text in paintings.
Time line:
The time line will include the first two or three weeks working on retouching the pieces done last marking period. Then after this is done, I will work for the rest of the marking period working with new text pieces as well as the still life.

Fall Semester 2009-10
Project Proposal #2(November 2009)
Project:
For the second quarter project, I decided to do a series of text pieces. Each piece will be done on canvas. In the series, there will be about 6 pieces. Each will be a different color and textures. Each will have a unique style and different type of text. Each project/piece will have a certain background that will be done in ink. The text will souround it as well as overlap it.
Materials:
Some of the materials that will be used for this series of paintings will be canvas, paint, and ink. The canvas will be supporting structure. The ink will be used to do background paintings as well as some text. The paint will be used for text and background colors.
Objective:
The objective for this project is to continue my exploration of text paintings from last year. I also want to continue to explore text and a more graphical design type of art.
Timeline:
I want to have 6 or 7 of these paintings done by the end of the marking period. So, I want to finish one text painting by the end of each week. That will give me enough time to get about 6 or 7 done will a little bit extra time to go back and embellish each painting.
Project Proposal #1 (September 2009)
Project:
For my portfolio project, my goal is to create two artist retreats. They are to be built and drawn. The first one will be for a pianist and the second for a sculpture. They will be built and will include a floor plan, section and an elevation. This project will be a continuation of a project done over the summer at an architecture course.
Objective:
The objective for the project is to create two buildings that will help me explore the field of architecture. They will also be a continuation of what I had done in a summer course during the summer.
Materials:
The materials for this project will really only require foam core. The buildings will be constructed with foam core. The drawings will be drawn on basic sketchbook paper.
Time line:
I am planning to do each part of the project in week sections. So, the building parts should take me about a week as well as the drawings should take me about a week.
