Identity as an Art Class (June 2010)

As individuals we all have our own unique style.  Each of us work differently, with different media and in different ways.  But, despite all our differences in our art making, we are all classified as “honors” and “portfolio” art classes.  In a way we are all alike in a way that we are all able to come together once a year and display our art in the district art show.  Our class mates that are not part of honors art or portfolio view the art show as one big group of art pieces and that is similar to what our art class is.  Throughout the year, each individual art student learns to trust one another.  We are able to be critical of one anothers art and give advice on what can be improved.  In a way, we have all become a family throughout the year because of this.
